Pubic hair removal is generally in practice from the older days in the human culture. This practice is common due to various reasons from a simple to the sexual. Some of the reasons leading to pubic hair removal are:
Medical reasons: patients body is shaved before operating on them due to hygienic reasons
Sexual reasons: females opt for the removal for there attractive looks while men choose it for there clean shaved look that is very much common in many parts of the world.
Religious reasons: head shaving is the part of some religious traditions
In military institutes: military also prefer to choose closely shaven hair cut for there undefined reasons.
Punishment: also in many situations hair removal is treated as a punishment.
Pubic hair is basically in the front of the genital area, arm pits, and at the top of the inside of the legs forming the public region. The pubic hair generally defines the long, odd looking hairs in different public parts of the body that increases with the age of puberty starts.
There are many ways of removing the pubic hairs from different parts of the body which are categorized in two parts:
Temporary removal:
Temporary removal method includes shaving, depilatories, friction, plucking, waxing, sugaring, threading, epilators, etc. all these temporary methods are done by different ways depending upon the method of removing the concerned pubic hairs.
Permanent removal:
However permanent method which is not so much common in practice includes different methods like electrolysis, laser, intense pulsed light, prescription oral medications, enzymes cure, etc
There are also some doubtful methods that are not common and many of you even didn't know the method at all.
Doubtful methods:
This doubtful method includes electric tweezers, transdermal electrolysis, transcutaneous hair removal, photoepilators, microwaves, food and dietary supplements and nonprescription topical preparations
Experimental techniques:
Out of all the above discussed procedures there are some experimental techniques that are provided by our developing medical services in the field of cosmetics. These techniques include:
X-ray removal method which is much more efficient and usually permanent removal method. But it also leads to some serious health risks after regular use, and hence due to the above complication this procedure is also banned in some countries.
On the other hand photodynamic therapy which is also going to be an example of the advance techniques used in the medical (cosmetics) field.
Pubic hair removal techniques discussed above have several disadvantages added varying with the techniques. While some techniques are costly, other causes health problems, and some are not permanent in nature.
