Mom Time - The Spa Experience

With the demands of a full family life, few of us will ever be able to sneak away for the amount of time that a full-blown spa treatment entails. However, that doesn't dictate that you can't take a little break and indulge yourself in a mini-treatment - say something like a massage or a facial. With Mother's day approaching, think about how wonderful it would be to pamper her, or if you are the mother, yourself, with a trip to the spa.
Getting a facial will leave you with a feeling of freshness that you just can't duplicate at home. While a massage melts all your worldly cares away as you lay quietly listening to the soft music while the masseuse performs her magic on your body.
A few things you should know if this is your first visit to the spa. It is recommended that you enjoy the hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas before your massage in order to start the relaxation process. If you are also getting a facial, it will also help to make your skin softer and speed the exfoliation process.
If you can, get both the facial and massage. Not everyone is comfortable removing their clothes for their massage, the first time. But, the massage center will give you sheets and other items to cover your body. Remember, these are professionals you are working with, and they understand your concerns. Also remember to drink a lot of water before you go to your appointment so you will not dehydrate during your sauna time. It has an added bonus of helping your body in cleansing.
If you have any concerns whatsoever, feel free to talk to the people running the spa before the treatments begin so that you can set your mind at ease. Relax...Enjoy the fuss that the spa makes over you. You deserve it! I guarantee that you will feel happier and healthier than you have in a long time.
So get up and get going.
