If you're thinking that you could possibly be pregnant, it will be useful for you to know some of the earliest symptoms of pregnancy. Even if you've been trying to conceive for a while, you may not be able to recognize these symptoms for what they are, and you may therefore be less able to spot your condition quickly.

You may want to look into things if you are experiencing any of the below listed signs and have recently been in a situation where you could have become pregnant.

Missed Menstrual Period

This is an early sign of pregnancy that the majority of women are aware of. During most pregnancies, the uterine lining is not shed from the body, thus you will not have a period until sometime after delivery. Because it is possible for one to continue having periods after conception, you should not rule out a pregnancy based solely on the fact that you are still menstruating.

Fatigue

It is likely that the natural hormonal changes in a pregnant woman's body will cause her to tire out more easily than usual. You might notice that you will want to lie down or rest more often, or that activities which were normally effortless take a lot of energy and effort to carry out.

Breast Tenderness

Are your breasts getting swollen or sore? This is caused by hormones and your body getting prepared to produce milk. It is also possible that your nipples will grow darker and become even more sensitive.

Nausea

This type of sickness can occur anytime during the pregnancy. Although it is usually most common in the later part, it can occur in the first week, too. Women are affected in many different ways, and it can happen at one certain time of day, or it can happen constantly. It might be helpful to eat small meals until the nausea passes.

More Frequent Urination

Your bladder and kidneys will process additional fluids during your pregnancy, which will make you have to urinate more often. Additionally, when the uterus swells, pressure is put on the bladder which will cause more trips to the bathroom. This only lasts for the first month or two for some women, while others experience it throughout the entire nine months.

Dizziness

You may find yourself becoming dizzy when you exert yourself, when you climb up or down flights of stairs, for example. Standing around for long periods of time may also result in dizziness. When the uterus swells, the arteries in the legs become compressed, leading to reduced blood flow. This is more likely to occur when your blood sugar level is low. It is important to keep your blood sugar reasonably high by eating small snacks at regular intervals throughout the day.

These are some of the most common symptoms of early pregnancy. To confirm these symptoms, however, it helps to use a home pregnancy test and visit a doctor. The sooner you can confirm your pregnancy, the earlier you can receive the care you need for a safe and healthy delivery.
