Imitate the character of successful people and you will come to think of these people as your own personal invisible counselors. If you think of them when you shut your eyes at night as you are about to go to sleep, you can imagine them sitting with you around your council table.
The great thing about this visualization is that you can be in charge of the meeting because you have called upon it for the purpose of learning the secrets , lessons and techniques that these people have used over the years to become who they are or were in their own lives.
If you take some of the qualities that you admire and desire for yourself from each of these people, you can,with practice and a true desire to change, reshape your own character.
In the study of psychology we know that individuals become what they are because of their dominating thoughts and desires. A deep seated desire has the effect of causing one to seek outward expression through which that desire may be transmuted into reality. Self suggestion is a powerful factor in building character. It is the sole principle through which character is built. Knowing this principle is part of the equiptment needed in rebuilding character.
An instance that could be called upon to learn the qualities you desire to gain from each of your counselors, would be to think of which people you admire and at your visualization meetings tell each one of them what it is about them that you desire to acquire.
Ask for knowledge and how to harmonize the laws of nature, how to inspire people and arouse them to a greater, determined spirit, along with enduring faith so that you learn how to turn defeat into victory.
You could also desire to acquire freedom of thought and the courage and clarity to express your convictions. Another character quality you might desire,is patience and the ability to study cause and effect without bias or prejudice.
A keen sense of justice, self confidence, personal cooperation, humor, tolerence and human understanding may be part of the character lessons worth inner study.
Another desire that many people do not pay attention to is the ability to act on a feeling or hunch. This sixth sense can be helpful because when you learn to recognize it and not ignore it, this may be the secret, silent, factor that drives a person to action.
A hunch is your mind telling you about a good business deal or could be something that needs your attention drawn to it.
In any event, learning to accept this feeling and use it has been one of the building blocks of many a new idea coming to fruition.
The mind as a software program is an interesting concept of what the mind is capable of. That is why it is so important to construct energizing, empowering, affirmative thoughts and emotions so these things can be dropped into place anytime you need to, on command.
The human organism is like a computer, it is not the computer that determines the output and benefit it delivers. It is not even the software program that is installed in the computer, but it is what a person puts into the computer that determines the output.
If you put garbage in, then garbage comes out. Positive, empowering thoughts that define a chief aim, mixed with faith, images of achievement,positive self-talk, reminders of the value of what you pursue are the emotionalized input you use to consciously think and grow rich in your endeavors.
The workings of the human being are complex but well worth the effort because a character reshaped is thought of, as a positive move in an upward direction.
