However, if you don't have the means or the process takes too long, you can do it temporarily with the use of the "poor man's copyright". Put your name and trademark in an envelope and mail it to your own address. When the mail comes, it will have the date and stamps on it, so you practically legalize your name and trademark in case someone wants to steal it. If any copyrights problems occur, you will give the envelope to the registration office to prove that you own the trademark or name. The envelope, however, should be unopened, otherwise it will lose its purpose.

A lawyer can help you with the documents needed, or just give you some tips about how your trademark should be in order to meet the requirements.
