If you are a new player to EVE , or you simply want to know about what the game entails and what the community is like, one of the best resources that can find are the EVE Online forums! The EVE Online forums are a great place where new players and ones that are very experienced will gather to discuss things like gameplay, functionality, tactics and general game-oriented matters, and whether you are looking for specific information or just looking to get a sense about what is going, on this is a great place to start.

You can finding the EVE Online forums located at the main site itself, www.eve-online.com, and a quick look will show you that there is plenty of information to be had here. While it costs nothing at all to look, you'll find that posting is limited until you have purchased an account. You'll generally find, though, that many of the questions that you might have will be answered in the history and you'll soon find that with more than 600,000 threads to chose from, you have a great deal of information at your fingertips.

When you take a look at the EVE Online forums, you'll notice that there is a lot of good information to be had and that it can be separated into various areas. For new players and visitors, the Information Center is definitely worth some examination. This is where new information about the game is posted and where you'll find a good Frequently Asked Questions list that will tell you almost anything that you might need to know about the game itself. This is also where you'll find new information on bugs, software fixes and other technical issues.

The areas listed as Inside EVE are places to get good information on things like game mechanics, how to get the most out of your ship and your weaponry, how to complete missions and quests, and things like this. This area is quite handy to keep in mind if you are stumped on a particular run, or you want to see what sort of firepower you can fit onto your new frigate. This area is very technically oriented and excellent when ti comes to gameplay.

The EVE Communication Center is for out of game discussion, including roleplay, the history of the gameworld and general talk about the game and about other things, while the EVE Marketplace allows you to sell gear in-game (keeping in mind that real currency for game items and ships is prohibited by the User Agreement). The EVE Corporations, Alliances and Organizations Center is where you can find other people to join you in cooperative gameplay, while the EVE Technology and Research Center gives you some insight into the game mechanics themselves.

As you can see the EVE Online forum experience is a rich and varied one, so take some time and thoroughly explore it!
