Looking for Designer iPod nano Cases? Here's Some Tiips

I bought a designer iPod nano case for my nano 3G yesterday, and chances are you've been thinking about designer cases too. If you're only going to use your 3G nano in an armband at the gym, stop reading now. Designer cases aren't going to make sense for you.
The rest of us worry about getting our nano wet, or banged up, or just plain feeling overly geeky walking to school or work. There has to be a better way to carry it around, preferably with a little style.
Until recently I'd never thought of it as a fashion statement. Two weeks ago I saw my friend's leather flip case and had an 'aha' moment. Time to search for options.
Decent Starters:
A simple start is to try a "leather look" case with a flip top. They come in a variety of colors and can be found for under $10. If you're on a tight budget this is a good start.
If you want to stp it up a little, try the Kroo Manhattan case. It's still faux leather, but has red topstitching to make it a little more unique. Still, not quite what I was looking for.
Next step up: The Cloe Dao. The skull and crossbones version wasn't quite the image I wanted for my iPod nano- though maybe it'd be perfect for a young guy. The pinstripe colored one actually looked pretty cool for weekends-I may still go back and buy it. I was looking for something a little more reserved for work.
Mid-Range Price and Style:
For a great mid-range price, try the Sena Pullino case. The leather on this one is real and the velvet lining protects against scratches. I like the fact that the case fits the nano snugly -- some cases are just too loose. It's simple, elegant, and well-made.
Pacific Designs and Marware have some good options in this price range too. They both target the multi-purpose case market and make a good product. Again, nothing to get noticed, but will do the job. (Actually, Marware does have a leather flipcase that's pretty nice if you want something along the "simple but not ostentatious" lines.)
High Fashion:
If you like the glittery look (evening?) check out the Gilty Cotoure 3G nano case. It comes in silver or gold plating, with Swarovski Crystal accents. The crystal accents frame the screen and control wheel. Surprisingly tasteful and still special. If you have a 8Gb nano, this case is just slightly less than the cost of your nano. But then, you weren't concerned about that anyway were you?
For work or upscale style, the Difusi holder comes in napa leather with snakeskin. It protects the nano well and has a magnetic clasp. At $40 it makes a nice statement without putting your car payment in jeapordy.
I was hoping to find something by Coach, Dior, or Prada to review. Coach has one for the 2G version of the nano, but they haven't built one for 3G yet. Basically I was out of luck.
I ended up with the difusi 3G nano holder and I love it. Maybe this Christmas I'll look again for a high-end brand that fits the 3G.
If you're looking for a 3G iPod nano designer case you have a lot of options. Express your special style!
