Before a storm hits, disaster strikes, or something that's just plain bad happens, there will always be signs of warning. It's very common to hear people say: "why didn't we listen to the warning signs". This is true of storms, political events, bridge collapses, and of couples breaking up.
Be warned, if you're a paranoid individual, forget that you ever saw this article. Please note that the points discussed here refer to changes in your partners behavior that wasn't there in the past. Also, the more signs that are true for your relationship the more likely a breakup is about to happen.
1.) Are you quarreling all day long, 7 days a week? The odd dispute once in a while is perfectly ok. But chronic fighting is very bad.
Maybe she's still kissing you but the emotion is flat. Boredom is not the point being made, but rather, a dislike of expressing affection with you.
2.) Have you been relegated to the bottom of her priority scale? This means that the most insignificant thing in her life comes before you. For example, there's never any room in her busy social calendar to fit you in.
Avoidance behavior is often encountered in the everyday usage of phones and cell phones. Are you finding there's never an answer when you call or her phone is always set to voice mail? Are you generally seeing less of her because she's made herself scarce?
3.) Does it seem as though your very existence displeases her? Has her standards gone through the roof and she's always criticizing you about something? This means she's looking for excuses to leave and give you the blame for the breakup because you're not good enough.
4.) Is your partner coming across as remote, distant, distracted? She will be unusually quiet and not volunteer much if anything at all to your chats. This is fairly common behavior but when considered in light of other break up signals, it should not be dismissed.
5.) Is the love and affection that you give her not returned with equal enthusiasm. When you try to relate to her more, she pulls away from you? If this situation describes the two of you, a break up is in your future if nothing is done to fix the relationship.
6.) Has she begun to talk to you in a very contemptuous way? This is true evidence that her perception of you has undergone a major shift. It's important that you repair this problem soon or risk a break up in the near future.
Please note that the points made here refer only to behavior that's not normal for your partner. Many people have their quirks that may resemble some of the break signs. We're talking about a change in a persons behavior, not quirks which are a permanent part of their make up. You should also try to rule out other explanations for her behavior.
