Save A Marriage And Stop Divorce Now

A lot of people would rather opt to file for divorce than to save a marriage. It's like the trend these days - people divorce at the first sign of marital conflict. At this age of the instants - instant food, instant information (with the internet), and even instant marriage - comes an instant solution to marital stress: divorce. It's as if divorce could really help solve problems!

But in reality, it can't. A divorce can't save a marriage - it ends it, a divorce can't solve problems - it gives you more problems. If you look into it, it's processes and its effects on your life and the lives of the people around you, you might end up wanting to undo it.

First, let's take the financial stand point.

Think about it: getting a divorce means less income. If your household is living on two incomes, just imagine how life could change if half of the income source was kicked out of your household. So you're partner isn't working, you think you won't be affected? Think again. A divorce doesn't mean you won't have to be financially responsible for your partner or kids. If your stays at home, you might have to hire a help when he or she leaves. That means a minus on your budget. Also, your conjugal assets would be divided between you two, making it significantly smaller. Just imagine what would happen to you if you get a divorce and you're unemployed!

Besides, just think about all the money you'd have to spend to get a divorce! The process of filing for a divorce itself is horribly expensive. Simply imagining the cost of petitioning and processing one could get anyone dizzy. Lawyers charge at an hourly basis, and divorce lawyers charge staggering amounts-higher and higher, it seems, each year. The amount of time you'd have to spend in the courtroom discussing how to divide your assets with lawyers may just give you smaller and smaller assets to actually separate from each other. The bulk of it all may just go to paying for your legal fees. How ironic is that?

People don't realize how much a divorce can thwart their standard of living. Unless you're a multi-millionaire, a divorce could create a devastating dent in your financial lives. And how could that affect your lives? It could mean having to sell the car, the house, and getting a lower-standard life. You might have to rent 'cause of the suddenly expensive mortgage that you can no longer pay. You might have to buy less expensive food. You might have to give up certain hobbies to cut the costs.
